Based on the SemanticMiner the BIOPRO application allows for the easy access to information distributed in universities and research facilities in Baden-Württemberg. The platform makes it possible to standardize the search processes by the introduction of an ontology-based software and thereby supports even "search-laymen" without expert knowledge to find the right information.

The expert’s knowledge stored by the use of this knowledge platform helps to process information and to generate new knowledge, in order to make it accessible to defined target groups through diverse communication channels.
