The first official release of SemanticXpress is now available. SemanticXpress makes it easier for companies to successfully implement an extensive terminology management. Ontologies make it possible to connect existing terminologies with a company’s own terminology. Hence, wide-spread medical terminologies such as MeSH, NCI, GO, SNOMED, etc. can be integrated into the system. SemanticXpress is also designed to administer and query extensive terminology both consistently and with high performance.

Simple Connection via Web Services

In the case of already existing systems, SemanticXpress can be easily integrated via Web services, to make full use of terminology that is consistent company-wide, even in applications that are critical to business.

An Overview of the Highlights

  • Terminology management for companies “We speak the same language”
  • Integration of existing terminologies, for example, from UMLS
  • Creation of customer’s own terminology, and the ability to connect with existing terminologies
  • Web Services for integrating the SemanticXpress functions into existing applications

Web OntoStudio is a lean version of our successful ontology editor OntoStudio. Web OntoStudio can be easily used via every browser and is hence very flexible. It is ideal for large distributed teams who edit ontologies collaboratively.

Web OntoStudio offers you the following functions:

  • Creation of classes and instances
  • Definition of properties (attributes and relations) at schema leve
  • Assignment of values to properties at instance level

Web OntoStudio and OntoStudio both access the same ontology server. If users need to create rules that go beyond the Web OntoStudio functions, these can be created using OntoStudio and saved to the ontology server. All of the changes are immediately visible for all other editors.
